In this beginner class, you’ll learn the basics: parts of the instrument, tuning, simple chords, and easy songs to get comfortable with strumming and chording. No musical experience is required. Bring your own ukulele (concert or tenor recommended) and $10 for materials. Join us for a fun, hands-on class and start making music right away!

Have you always wanted to play guitar or tried with no success? This beginner-friendly class will have you playing in no time using a short-cut/partial capo, which allows you to play chords with just one or two fingers. Learn songs in traditional, contemporary, pop, gospel, and more—all with no prior musical knowledge required. Bring an acoustic guitar, a short-cut/partial capo (Kyser KG3B or Shubb C73), and $10 for the class book. Get ready to have fun and start making music right away!
